Gold! GO! ... Got Gold?

UOB gold fund is overbought now. The question is what will it do next? Normally the price of fund will drop to lower channel. I believe technical analysis will not give the full picture of what gold will do next for now. The reason is Iran is holding the trumph card. Just ask Jim Sinclair

UOB gold chart is produced using free charting software, FCharts SE while chart of First State Global Resources fund is produced using Amibroker

Current top funds in Singapore

I just did a search on top performing funds in Singapore. All of them have a compound return of 18% or more for the past two years. Two of them : Fidelity Korea and First State India can be invested under CPFIS-OA scheme. Will they continue their winning streak? That is the issue. How do you identify them before they run away? Homework, homework, in my opinion.

Gold for a bounce?

Because of Nigeria oil workers kidnap story, gold will bounce, at least for the short term, in my opinion. Technically UOB Gold fund is on lower up channel on daily chart which means it is a low risk entry point for TRADERS. 20/2/2006 is a holiday in US. So trend followers in US will want to be in the game again if there is no external forces trying to surpress gold price. What do you think?

22/2/06 : Another analysis by my guru, Jim Sinclair: http://www.jsmineset.com/ARhome.asp?VAfg=1&RQ=EDL,1&AR_T=1&GID=&linkid=3411&T_ARID=3480
